Nigerian, 23, Arrested For Jumping White House Fence

Pres-Goodluck-Jonathan

A 23-year-old Nigeria, Mr. Dominic Adesanya, was yesterday arrested by the United States Secret Service agents for jumping the North Lawn fence of the White House in Washington, DC.
LEADERSHIP FRIDAY gathered that the accused who resides in the State of Maryland was immediately taken into custody after he was arrested unarmed. This was the first of such incident since a veteran with a knife was able to scale the fence surrounding the executive mansion and run inside.
The operatives of the United States Secret Service in Washington, DC have confirmed that criminal charges are pending for Adesanya, who was unarmed at the time of his arrest.
Video of the incident shows a man wearing a dark shirt and white gym shorts on the lawn outside the White House being yelled at by Secret Service officers. He briefly lifted his shirt to show his chest before a pair of Secret Service dogs rushed to the man and pounced.
Adesanya, the fence jumper struggled with the animals, landing repeated punches and kicks but, eventually, a Secret Service officer grabbed him from behind and effected his immediate arrest.
Shortly after the arrest, security officers began to clear the North Lawn of journalists and conducted a search of the premises to see if there was any harmful weapon that was hidden there by the accused.
Reacting in a statement which was obtained by our correspondent on Thursday morning, Spokesperson of the Secret Service, Mr. Ed Donovan, said: “At approximately 7:16 pm, an individual climbed the North fence-line of the White House. The individual was immediately taken into custody on the North lawn of the White House by Secret Service Uniformed Division K-9 teams and Uniformed Division Officers. The subject is being transported to a local hospital for evaluation.”
The incident happened the same day as a series of shootings in Canada’s capital city of Ottawa, including the exchange of gunfire inside the country’s Parliament building, an incident which led to the killing of one Canadian soldier.
