BORNO State's Senator Khalifa Ahmed Zanna has revealed shocking details of the kidnapped Government Girls Secondary School Chibok pupils abducted by Boko Haram saying there exists video footage of them being raped daily.
Senator Zanna, who represents Borno Central Senatorial District, said that the girls, kidnapped on April 14, are being raped while someone films them. Today will mark 80 days since their abduction from their boarding school in Borno State in the middle of the night and despite concerted attempts to locate them, they remain in captivity.
“Actually, from the information I’m getting, some of them are very disturbing. Although I don’t want to mention it but they are just raping the girls on camera and even showing them on video, releasing it to the public.
"Somebody told me that they were shown being raped, and in turn, it is the girl who was raped that came out kneeling down and begging the man to be patient. Do you know the reason why? They said when they rape them they shoot them," Senator Zanna added.
He added that although he has not seen the video, the person who told him about it said he had a copy of the tape. Furthermore, senator Zanna said that Boko Haram is now out of funds and subsequently, is not getting enough food to feed the girls.
According to the senator, the terrorist sect is now going from one village to another, taking the little the villagers have from them at gunpoint. He added that as a result, most villages in Borno State are now deserted as villagers have moved to cities or fled to neighbouring countries.
Senator Zanna added: "I don’t know what they’re going to do, if food is not available. Are they going to sacrifice to give it to the girls."
He pointed out that Boko Haram currently have up to 500 women in captivity, who have been abducted from towns and villages. Since the April raid on Government Girls Secondary School Chibok, Boko Haram has conducted similar attacks on several villages carting off women and girls in the same manner.
