The BringBackOurGirls (BBOG) group has defied security threats to meet for its daily sit out at the Unity Fountain in Abuja after the deadly bomb blast at the popular Emab Plaza which killed 21 people.
At the group’s sit out yesterday, issues of insecurity in the country dominated the deliberations of the day as some of the members insisted on the continuation of the sit out.
According to the group, if it stop to campaign for the return of the schoolgirls, then the whole essence of the sit out will have been defeated
The chairman of the Chibok community in Abuja, Mr Tsambido Hosea-Abana, who decried the effect of the incessant bomb blasts in the country, advised the group to examine the issue of insecurity in the country.
According to him, it has become imperative to secure the living in order to campaign for the release of the abducted Chibok girls.
But the group was thrown into mourning at the sit out when its members took out time to lament the loss of lives and property at the Emab Plaza blast. The members of the group thereafter observed a minute silence for the repose of the souls of the dead.
